He’s With Me – Tamara Summers

He’s With Me - Tamara Summers

After reading the nationalistic and revengeful ‘Gapô by Lualhati Bautista, I turned to reading a teenage romance book He’s With Me by Tamara Summers. I often liked this kind of book, but then at times I hate it because it’s not the kind of ending I would want it to end.

The story tells of a typical teenage love story. Well, sort of not typical.
Typical girl has a longtime crush on typical boy, but their relationship isn’t typical: it’s all PRETEND.

Lexie always have had a big crush on Jake Atkinson, her brother Colin’s best friend. This crush stuff haven’t gone anywhere deep, but when the not-so-typical blonde Bree steps on the scene, Jake must think of a plan to get rid of her but not really hurt her. And brother Colin had a plan: “You could tell her [Bree] you’re dating Lexie.”Nice job Colin! But remembering Lexie’s situation: having a longtime crush on Jake, she can never stand it being just his pretend girlfriend. What she’s gotta do? She haven’t got a boyfriend of her own so how could she manage to persuade everyone that they’re meant to be, and how could she convince Jake that she never wanted to be just his pretend girlfriend, but to be his girlfriend… FOR REAL? ♥

Rating: 2 thumbs-up, applause! Out of 5 stars: 5 stars! ^_^

“And this time, it was absolutely real… and absolutely perfect.” — Author on Lexie

  4. i read this book and fell in love with it. Most books don`t keep me interested the whole way through, unlike this one. Now i`m on the search to find books as good as this one. I think Tamara needs to make a part two because i really wanna know what happens next. Don`t we all? I`d give this book 6stars because its way better than 5!!!!!!!!!

    • yes, it makes us feel that though we think we are totally inferior from other girls who stand out from the crowd, we too have our own unique personality that can beat them off and even get the boys following us. ;]

that’s why it was my favorite. 😀
