My real estate sales production puts me in the top 20% of real estate agents in the entire DFW area (according to MLS). Knowing how to get transactions done (and how to avoid the pitfalls that can kill a deal), while keeping my clients informed throughout the process, makes for happy clients. 🙂

And as someone with a background in the mortgage business, you benefit since I know how to communicate well with your lender, should you be getting a loan. You’ll also understand any property issues that can make obtaining financing difficult.

University Park: “Best Suburb”

Three out of four. In 2008, D Magazine again named the City of University Park the “Best Suburb” in Dallas/Fort Worth. The City also achieved that lofty position in 2002 and 2004. In preparation for its July 2008 cover story, the magazine examined 62 area cities and towns based on four categories: education, housing, safety and ambience.

Profile for the City of University Park

On April 12, 1924, voters in the area now comprising University Park approved a measure to incorporate as a city by a 5:1 margin. U.P. began as a small cluster of homes surrounding Southern Methodist University, which itself began in 1915.

Previously, SMU supplied the residents with their utility service, but the area had grown too large for the University to continue providing services.

Fast forward to today, according to the 2000 US Census, University Park had a population of 23,324 with 8,492 housing units; a land area land area of 3.72 sq. miles; a water area of 0.01 sq. miles; and a population density of 6,269.16 people per sq. mile.

The City is now surrounded by Dallas on three sides and the Town of Highland Park to the south. The city’s unique character, high property values, and relatively low tax rate have been steadily maintained.

U.P. is served by the highly acclaimed Highland Park Independent School District (HPISD).

The City prides itself on providing prompt and personal attention to requests for services. A primary goal of The City is to provide and maintain a secure residential atmosphere, through a hometown policing approach.

One of the Most Prestigious Locations in the Dallas | Fort Worth (DFW) Area

The City of University Park is the home of Southern Methodist University and is also known for its good neighbors, attractive homes, beautiful parks, convenient shopping and numerous churches.

U.P. is located approximately five miles north of downtown Dallas, Texas. The location of University Park in north-central Dallas provides easy access to a broad range of cultural, recreational, shopping, and business activities.

Residents of University Park enjoy professional sports, including the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Rangers and racing at the Texas Motor Speedway. Relatively mild temperatures year around and plenty of land make golf a major recreation activity. In the Dallas area there are over 20 public and private courses. Water sports are also popular throughout the area lakes.

With local attractions such as the Dallas Zoo, the Dallas Museum of Natural History, the Dallas Museum of Art, the Dallas Opera and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, U.P. residents enjoy a wide range of entertainment and cultural activities. Southern Methodist University’s excellent programs in the arts and humanities provide additional cultural opportunities right in the neighborhood.
