This video of some local DJ rednecks being obnoxious, in a Christmas parade, of all places, caught my eye on Greensboro101 this morning. So, as I ran some errands, I thought I'd tune in and check out 105.7's morning show Bob and the Showgram.
What a boring and embarrassingly unfunny crock-o-crap this thing is. Just what is the size of the eating-boogers-is-funny moron market in Greensboro? However minuscule it is, Bob and the Showgram will have it cornered -- until their imminent and prompt failure.
I thought 105.7 was Raleigh?

That is incredibly shallow, Ryan. That they have to "do things" to get our attention doesn't mean that doing anything is admirable or even excusable.
ReplyDeleteThey are crass in an unfunny way (this from someone who is a big fan of Family Guy and South Park) and dumb -- not the Navin Johnson and Llod Christmas amusing dumb, but the slobering, booger-eating idiot dumb.
We are talking about them sure, talking about not listening to them -- a message I'm sure to be appreciated by their potential advertisers.
I don't know why you stand in defense of such mediocrity.
Roch, they (Showgram) are apparently new to you, but the show has been on in Raleigh for a very long time. Not everyone (listeners) feel the same as you - don't like em... don't listen.

I have listened to Bob and the Showgram on G105.1 Raleigh/Durham since 1992. It is a great show! They have been number 1 for many years. I think some of the remarks that were made were trying to get people talking and it worked. These remarks are not typical of this show. These are nice people who have big hearts and have raised lots of money for very good causes.
