The Virgin Islands Tennis Association Presents:
1st Annual HOVENSA Junior Tennis Tournament Series

HOVENSA LLC and the Virgin Islands Tennis Association are pleased to announce the 1st Annual HOVENSA Junior Tennis Tournament Series. This circuit of seven junior age group tournaments will be played throughout the Virgin Islands beginning on February 16th at the Tennis Club of St. Croix. Junior tennis players will have the opportunity to showcase their tennis playing skills while having the chance to earn a district ranking and possible selection on the VITA National Junior Team. Junior age group categories consist of boys and girls, 18-16-14-12-10 and under singles. All participants must be USTA members.

HOVENSA Junior Tennis Series 2007 Schedule

February 16-18 VITA Jr. I Boys & Girls 12-18 years old, singles w/ consolation round. Boys & Girls 10 years old, round robin. Location: Tennis Club of St. Croix

March 9-11th VITA Jr. II Boys & Girls 12-18 years old, singles w/ consolation round. Boys & Girls 10 years old, round robin. Location: St. Thomas Racket Club

April 20-22 VITA Jr. III Boys & Girls 12-18 years old, singles w/ consolation round. Boys & Girls 10 years old, round robin. Location: Buccaneer Tennis Club, St. Croix

May 4-6 VITA Jr. / Caribbean Tennis Association (CTA) IV Boys & Girls 12-18 singles w/ consolation round. Boys & Girls doubles 12-18, single elimination. Location: Westin, St. John

September 7-9 VITA Jr. V Boys & Girls 12-18 years old, singles w/ consolation round. Boys & Girls 10 years old, round robin. Location: Christiansted Tennis Club, Canegata Ball Park

October 19-21 VITA Jr. VI Boys & Girls 12-18 years old, singles w/ consolation round. Boys & Girls 10 years old, round robin. Location: St. Thomas Yacht Club

November – TBA VITA Jr. VII / Caribbean Tennis Association (CTA) XI Boys & Girls 12-18 singles w/ consolation round. Boys & Girls doubles 12-18, single elimination.

Travel Funds: The Virgin Islands Tennis Association has established a travel fund to assist junior players traveling between the islands. For information, please email Linda Duggan at lduggan@stxcountryday.com

Housing: There are a number of St. Croix players willing to extend friendly crucian hospitality and housing to players from St. Thomas and St. John. For information, please email Linda Duggan at lduggan@stxcountryday.com or call her evenings at 778-7539.
