Red Cross called to 4 house fires within 5 hours in Lehigh Valley

The American Red Cross of the Greater Lehigh Valley was called to four house fires over the course of five hours Monday night.

  • At 10:57 p.m., they responded to a fire that displaced a family of three adults and one infant at 442 Pawnee St. in Bethlehem. The Red Cross provided lodging, meals, clothing, seasonal garments, infant formula and supplies and toiletries.
  • At 8:23 p.m., two adults were displaced from a single-family home at 1020 Juniata St. in Allentown. The Red Cross provided meals and toiletries to the family, who is staying with relatives.
  • At 7:13 p.m., an extended family of nine adults and one infant was displaced from their single-family home at 1228 Old Carriage Road in Allen Township.
  • At 6:05 p.m., four adults were displaced from their single-family home at 1743 E. Susquehanna St. in Salisbury Township. They are staying with relatives, but the Red Cross provided meals, clothing and toiletries.
