UW celebrates the Class of 2024

Award-winning author of “The Boys in the Boat,” Daniel James Brown, inspired more than 7,400 University of Washington graduates with the 1936 story of the men’s rowing team winning Olympic Gold. Brown was the featured speaker at the University of Washington’s 149th Commencement ceremony on Alaska Airlines Field at Husky Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
