      Good place for BBQ craves.

This is nice, big, clean, and well organised restaurant. The staff here is helpful and efficient. You can order here good selection of BBQ meats and sides to go with it. Same goes for various beverages.

The meats we ordered were good. I did enjoy turkey meat which was perfect during this Thanksgiving season. Brisket could have been more moist but it was still good.

I would recommend buying meat only and skip the sandwich bread as the BBQ on its own it's filling enough if you accompany it with different sides.

At first I was skeptical of gas station BBQ, but having found exceptional Q all over the country in out of the way or shady looking places I was excited to give it a go. From the number of people there, I could tell it was legit. I ordered a pound of wet brisket and a pound of pulled pork, green chili stew, beans and the jalapeno links. Everything was exceptionally good, and I'm pretty sure they're using Texas oak for the smokers.

The brisket was perfectly smoked - not too heavy but a great smoke flavor. The stew was also extremely good. The beans were off the charts! The links were also very good. The only knock i would have was that the pulled pork was really greasy. The sauces are also quite good - the original and the "sissy" sauce. I also liked that I got a generous amount of straight-up white bread, and they also included plastic bags of onions and pickled vegetables. If you like good Q, this is a great stop for authentic west Texas Q.

Back visiting from California and I was dreaming of Rudy's the entire drive here. I LOVE the baked potato! The serving sizes are more than enough and so tasty. They have a drive though and ample parking out front. I see that there's a patio too, but usually order online to go. They hook it up with sauces and extras too. Can't wait to go back next time.

It was the first time that we were at this Rudy's location, and it did not disappoint in the least.

Their sandwiches are ginormous, delicious and I cleaned my plate! Lol

They had cherry soda which is tough to find at restaurants, so this was a nice treat and surprise!

We needed to fill up our Jeep with gasoline, so this turned into a kill two birds with one stone type situation because they have gas pumps! Filler-up!

We must return, and soon. Highly recommended!

As we approached, the person ringing us up was in training so it was interesting to watch him go through the process of introducing "first timers" on how they do things there. They allowed us to sample the Turkey, Brisket and Moist Brisket. We ended up purchasing Moist Brisket, Spicy Chopped in sauce, Turkey and half a sausage. For sides, we got potato salad, coleslaw and creamed corn. They have a bar with pickled carrots, jalapeños, onions and all the condiments you'll need.

All the meats were very delicious, but I need to mention THE MOIST BRISKET!! That was the star of the whole place!! To say it's delicious is an understatement. It's the best brisket we've ever had!! They have bbq sauces at the table for you. We paired our meal with a grapefruit lager and cherry coke.

The only reason why I'm giving them a 4 star is because of the sides. The coleslaw and potato salad were pretty disappointing. The creamed corn had a weird texture to the corn....

Tip: all their meats are prices for 1/2 lbs, but you can order a slice or smaller portions if you'd like to sample everything.

Omg! They have the friendliest staff ever! Everyone I bumped into smiled and greeted me! Passed by the restaurant for lunch on our way home to SD, temperature was 106 degrees and since we had our fur baby we had to eat at this outside table by the front door. I didn't enjoy my lunch because of the heat BUT the moist and tender brisket made it all worth it!!! This is the first restaurant I've ever seen that has their own gasoline station:)

Fun, touristy spot with signs like, 'you're mom's not here, so clean up after yourself'. There are big tables with BBQ sauce and 'sissy BBQ sauce'. There's not much difference between the patio and the main seating area, not between which door you choose to enter. The tricky part is that you go past the store (snacks, drinks, gifts) and around the ice chests of drinks to order. Get your own drinks and cold sides (fridge) on the way to the register. Also, don't ask for a plate, because they serve on wax paper inside a shallow food crate. Just say what's your favorite meat and pick any hot sides. They'll give you slices of bread for a sandwich. The BBQ is all excellent, and there are bottle openers on the walls.
Tesla supercharger is outside, but you have to drive like a Texan to get back on the highway. Near the Santa Teresa border crossing which is small but usually quick.

Good Texas BBQ! Great brisket, great sausage, and probably the driest baby back ribs I've ever sampled. The people were great and the sides were too. I'd definitely go here again, but just not order any ribs.

      Great place for tasty takeout.
      Delicious lean beef brisket.
      Yummy coleslaw
      Fast, friendly service
Just walk in the front door, grab whatever size sides you want from the cooler, and place your meal order.
If you're up for pickled peppers, carrots and onions, you can grab as much as you can eat to add some extra flavor.
I like a place that lets me get myself whatever extras I want.

All I can say is WOW!! I love barbecue and this place was by far the best I have tasted. You get to choose your meat and they cut it right there and place everything you ordered in a soda crate. I didn't think I would be impressed but I was. I never eat a whole brisket sandwich but I did and I added their signature sauce, kinda sweet kinda spicy. The service was fast and the food was hot. Picnic tables and long family tables throughout and a little store to match. I'm actually kinda jealous that we don't have this place in Charlotte (insert sad face here). Maybe there is a place in Charlotte(insert thinking face here). Any suggestions for Charlotte?? Let me know and I will give them a try. Well y'all I'm headed to Phoenix, AZ to see what I can find there.
