How to find volunteers for your church

Finding volunteers to help keep your church open and able to serve your community can be difficult. But support is out there to help you to not only recruit new volunteers, but to keep them engaged with your church. Ruth, from St Hilda in Redcar, shares some advice that helped their church attract volunteers.

Church of the Week

Church of the Week

Trefnant, Clwyd

Our Church of the Week this week was our Welsh winner for the Church & Community Volunteers Award in the 2023 National Church Awards. The church has a fantastic team of volunteers who run a vast range of events and community groups. Prayers and Bears was initially a service, crafts, toys and coffee morning for babies who had been born in the village during Covid who had never seen anyone outside of their own families. They now often see over 25 children, and run a book club, a youth group, hold village events and collect for the local foodbank.
